State Institution "Center for Evaluation of the Activities of Scientific Institutions and Scientific Support for the Development of Regions of Ukraine of the NAS of Ukraine"
The state institution "Center for the Evaluation of the Activities of Scientific Institutions and Scientific Support for the Development of the Regions of Ukraine of the NAS of Ukraine" (hereinafter – the Center) was established as the Innovation Center of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR in 1990. Currently, the Center has two departments within its structure: the Department of Scientific Support Issues and Monitoring of Innovative Development of the Regions of Ukraine and the Office for the Evaluation of the Activities of Scientific Institutions of the NAS of Ukraine.
The Center provides scientific-methodological and scientific-organizational support for the activities of regional scientific centers of the NAS of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as well as expert, scientific-organizational, and informational support for the scientific and technical cooperation of the NAS of Ukraine with the regions of Ukraine represented by regional local self-government bodies.
By the Agreement "On Cooperation between the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration) and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" dated 25.05.2017 and the Agreement "On Cooperation between the Kyiv City Military Administration and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" dated 08.02.2023, the Center was designated as the base organization for organizing cooperation between the NAS of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv.
The Center is an important element of the overall academic infrastructure, providing scientific-methodological and informational-analytical support for the procedure of evaluating the activities of scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine.
By the Resolution of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine dated 14.06.2000 No. 179, the Center was designated as the base organization of the Committee on Systems Analysis under the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine – the national member organization representing Ukraine in the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).
