On February 11, 2026, the next meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took place. At the beginning, a joint order of the NAS of Ukraine and JSC "NAEK Energoatom" was signed to approve the leaders and personal composition of the Coordinating Scientific and Technical Council for Cooperation. The meeting was attended by the acting chairman of the board of JSC "NAEK Energoatom," Pavlo Kovtonyuk.
The President of the NAS of Ukraine, academician Anatoliy Zahorodniy, emphasized that the long-term cooperation between the Academy and Energoatom has strategic importance for the scientific and technical support of the safe operation of nuclear energy, the modernization of power units, and the development of advanced nuclear technologies. He stressed that the consolidation of efforts between science and the energy sector is an important prerequisite for strengthening the country's energy security and technological self-sufficiency, and the updated composition of the Coordinating Council will contribute to more effective implementation of joint scientific and technical projects.
