
On December 5, 2025, the Eleventh Library Science Studies dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Library Science Institute of this Library were held in a mixed online and offline format at the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, the Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine, the National Academy of Cultural and Arts Management, and the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. Library professionals and lecturers from specialized higher education institutions joined the gathering, including representatives of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, the Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine, the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, the National Academy of Cultural and Arts Management, the National Aerospace University "Kharkiv Aviation Institute," the Hryhoriy Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav, the Scientific and Technical Library of the Radio Astronomy Institute of the NAS of Ukraine, and others.
The purpose of this scientific and communicative event was to unite the efforts of scholars and practitioners to address problematic issues of the history, achievements, and development prospects of the Library Science Institute of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and current directions of the functioning of the library and information sphere of Ukraine in the context of digital communication and the implementation of artificial intelligence in library practice.
The welcoming speech was delivered by the General Director of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, Liubov Dubrovinа, who emphasized the importance of celebrating the centenary of the Library Science Institute of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine and wished colleagues successful and fruitful work.

- Head of the Department of Linguistic Support of Information Retrieval Systems at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Oleksandr Kyrylenko ("M. S. Slobodyanyk as Scientific Director of the Library Science Institute");
- Professor of the Department of Information Communications at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, Doctor of Social Communications, Senior Researcher Olena Hryhorevska ("Information Resources, Technologies and Innovations, Management of the Scientific Library’s Activities as Research Objects of the Library Science Institute of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine in the 2000s");
