A segment dedicated to young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was aired on the ICTV channel – their professional choices, sources of motivation, and the prospects that work in the scientific field opens up.
The material featured stories from:
- Darya Dobrycheva, senior research fellow at the Main Astronomical Observatory of the NAS of Ukraine, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences;
- Yulia Shlapa, senior research fellow at the V.I. Vernadsky Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, candidate of chemical sciences;
- Oleksiy Hornostay, senior research fellow at the E.O. Paton Institute of Electric Welding of the NAS of Ukraine, candidate of technical sciences.
The young researchers shared their paths into science, internal motivations, challenges, and reasons that inspire them to stay in the profession despite difficult times.
The President of the NAS of Ukraine, academician of the NAS of Ukraine Anatoliy Zahorodniy, in a comment for ICTV spoke about the dynamics of the number of young scientists in the Academy, their dedicated work, and the key opportunities that the NAS of Ukraine offers to the new generation – from participation in scientific programs and working on important research to integration into the international scientific community.
