On October 8–9, 2026, the "Conference of Young Zoologist Researchers-2026" will be held at the I.I. Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology of the NAS of Ukraine.
Organizer: The Council of Young Researchers of the I.I. Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology of the NAS of Ukraine.
Young scientists from scientific, scientific-educational, and nature conservation institutions are invited to participate with reports highlighting the results of original research in the fields of zoology, fauna, systematics, ecology, evolution, morphology, and animal behavior, as well as paleontology, zoogeography, and wildlife conservation, the use of GIS technologies and SMART tools in natural science research.
Format – hybrid. Participation form – in-person.
Reports: plenary (20 min., by invitation), sectional (10 min.).
Conference languages – Ukrainian and English.
The organizational fee is paid after confirmation of the participant’s admission to the conference and amounts to 300 UAH. For bachelor’s and master’s students, the fee is 150 UAH. Information about the payment method will be provided in the second information letter. The fee covers coffee breaks and organizational expenses. Accommodation – participants arrange their own lodging.

Abstract Submission
The abstracts of the conference participants’ reports will be published electronically in the collection of conference abstracts (in issue 17 of the "Zoological Courier"), which will be available on the Institute’s website.
The abstract length must not exceed 2000 characters (including spaces). Inclusion of illustrations and tables in abstracts is not allowed.
The author bears personal responsibility for academic integrity, accuracy of facts, citations, and references. The organizing committee reserves the right to select materials for inclusion in the conference program. Additional information about the conference, including additional events and the program, will be provided in subsequent information messages.
