"When Every Second Counts: How Ukrainian Scientists Are Creating Next-Generation Hemostatic Agents" – an article in the online publication "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia"

Blood loss is one of the main causes of death on the battlefield. International research and military medical practice prove that timely bleeding control significantly increases the chances of survival, which is why hemostatic agents are an essential component of tactical first aid kits in armies around the world.

And these do not have to be only imported drugs. Ukraine has its own scientific capabilities to create effective and much cheaper hemostatic agents than imported ones. Specialists at the O.V. Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the NAS of Ukraine are working on such developments. They claim to have created a unique agent capable of stopping even lethal arterial bleeding.

On this topic, journalists from the online publication "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia" spoke with the Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the O.V. Palladin Institute of Biochemistry, Doctor of Biological Sciences Volodymyr Chernyshenko.

Learn in detail about how the development works, what barriers must be overcome on the way to mass production, and why such innovations should become a priority for state support in the full version of the article "When Every Second Counts: How Ukrainian Scientists Create Next-Generation Hemostatic Agents".
