About dinosaurs and the reason for their extinction, whether there was a meteorite and when ostriches appeared – all this was told on the air of "Hromadske Radio" by the paleontologist, leading research fellow of the National Scientific Natural History Museum of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Biological Sciences Leonid Horobets.
The scientist noted: "In fact, if we take as a basis such dinosaurs not in the scientific sense, but as a component of the modern myth, then we mainly imagine dinosaurs like diplodocus, tyrannosaurus, stegosaurus. That is, all these species, except perhaps triceratops, disappeared before the meteorite impact. Just tell a person who draws well: 'Draw dinosaurs,' and they will draw these dinosaurs for you. So in fact, all except triceratops went extinct before the meteorite. You can just cross them out, they did not see the meteorite."
