The Covid-19 pandemic has become an unprecedented challenge for modern science and medicine. It forced humanity not only to reconsider approaches to treating infectious diseases but also effectively opened a new era in molecular biology and medicine. Thanks to the efforts of scientists worldwide, effective vaccines were developed in a short time, antiviral drugs were created, and technologies were initiated that today go far beyond the fight against the coronavirus.
Today, the virus continues to change, posing new questions and tasks for scientists. About the patterns of its mutation, current trends in the treatment of viral diseases, as well as what Ukrainian biotechnologists are currently working on – in the new episode of the program "About Science. Competently," which is broadcast on the YouTube channel of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
