At the beginning of 2026, the collective scientific monograph “Current Issues in the Development of Ukrainian Legal Education and Science in Modern Conditions and Post-War Reconstruction”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, was published by the international scientific publishing house "Baltija Publishing" (Riga, Latvia).
The monograph, consisting of 444 pages, is the result of extensive scientific collaboration and unites fundamental research by leading Ukrainian legal scholars, lecturers, practitioners, and young scientists. The publication is a significant contribution to the development of legal science and the understanding of transformations occurring in the system of legal education, lawmaking, and law enforcement under martial law and in the context of Ukraine’s future post-war reconstruction.
The monograph comprehensively covers current issues related to:
- the development of higher legal education under martial law and the transformation of the legislative framework;
- professional training of personnel in the justice system of Ukraine;
- ensuring psychological resilience and well-being of students during the war;
- the current state and prospects for the development of legal science in Ukraine;
- international law, administrative law, criminal law, civil law, and family law issues;
- the legal regime of virtual assets, electronic justice, and force majeure circumstances;
- the protection of the rights of Ukrainian citizens in temporarily occupied territories;
- risk-oriented approaches to post-war recovery and ensuring national security.
Separate sections are devoted to European integration, the internationalization of higher education, analysis of dissertation research in international law, as well as the establishment of the principles of the rule of law and justice.
The author collective includes over 30 scholars from the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and other scientific and educational institutions. The wide range of scientific approaches ensured the interdisciplinary nature of the monograph and a high level of scientific argumentation.
