The M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine and the Tourism and Promotions Department of the Kyiv City State Administration have launched the project "The Quiet Power of Nature." These are meditative audio-tactile tours that provide visitors with a calm and deep sensory experience of interacting with nature, expand the understanding of the surrounding world, and promote an ecological worldview.
The first such tours took place at the locations of the Tropical and Subtropical Plants Department of the Garden at the end of 2025 – they were held for visually impaired children who were able to feel the plants by touch, smell, and hearing. During the tour, an audio-musical device is used that converts the electrical signals of plants into pleasant melodies and vibrations. Each plant can be "heard" in several different musical interpretations.
The project is planned to be developed and scaled up: the tour routes will be adapted for different categories and groups of visitors – depending on their sensory needs. In particular, for veterans and people seeking closer contact with nature. And for the widest audience, a cycle of tours called "Kyiv with Eyes Closed" will be created based on this.
