The 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Applied Control Systems and Robotics" took place.

On November 12–13, 2025, the I International Scientific and Practical Conference "Applied Control Systems and Robotics" was held, organized by the Institute of Applied Control Systems of the NAS of Ukraine. 

The event brought together scientists, engineers, educators, and industry representatives from various countries.

The conference was dedicated to current areas of development in automated control systems, robotics, applied artificial intelligence, additive technologies, and scientific education. The conference organizing committee received 94 abstracts.

At the beginning of the event, participants were welcomed by the head of the organizing committee, president of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician of the NAS of Ukraine Stanislav Dovhyi, vice-chairman of the 15th research commission of the International Telecommunication Union Victor Katok, and others. They emphasized the importance of integrating scientific research, education, and innovation in the field of control and robotics to ensure the technological development of Ukraine and the world.

During the plenary session on November 12, participants listened to a series of substantive presentations by leading scientists and specialists. In particular, the head of Universal Robots in Eastern Europe Daniel Niepsuj and his colleague Grzegorz Będkowski presented the report "Trends in the Development of Collaborative Robotics Worldwide." The director of the Institute of Applied Control Systems of the NAS of Ukraine, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine Oleh Kopiyka, delivered a report titled "Innovative Activity: Problems and Achievements," and the deputy director for scientific work of this Institute, Victor Yehorov, presented the development "Robotic System for Automatic Palletizing of Products in Boxes."

Senior researcher at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems of the Ministry of Education and Science and NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences Vadym Slyusar, spoke about the application of YOLO neural networks in automating access control. Head of the Department at the State University "Kyiv Aviation Institute," Doctor of Technical Sciences Olena Tachynina, presented the results of algorithmic modernization of electric drives for search robots. Head of the Department at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture Volodymyr Rashkivskyi shared research on creating an intelligent database of robotic equipment behavior. Viktoriia Atamanchuk spoke about the prospects of using artificial intelligence in scientific education.

Young scientists Mykyta Klymenko and Andrii Makarchuk presented innovative works in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, mathematical modeling, and machine learning.
