The government recommends switching institutions to remote work due to worsening weather conditions.

08.01.2026

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a number of decisions due to a significant deterioration in weather conditions and a drop in air temperature. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.

In particular, due to the worsening weather situation, regional and Kyiv city military administrations, together with commissions on technogenic and ecological safety and emergency situations, are recommended to consider the issue of transferring the work of enterprises, institutions, and organizations to a remote mode, taking into account the real situation in each region and the specifics of their activities.

It is separately noted that these recommendations do not apply to critical infrastructure facilities and other entities for which remote work is unacceptable under martial law conditions.
It is also recommended that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with other central executive authorities, regional and Kyiv city military administrations, consider the issue of temporarily suspending the educational process in the in-person format.
