Results of the joint competition of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Slovak Academy of Sciences for 2026-2027.

As a result of the joint competition of Ukrainian-Slovak projects for 2026-2027, winners were determined in the following categories:

  • "Physical-technical and mathematical sciences" – the project "Application of modern integrated geophysical methods for studying the lithosphere in the Transcarpathian basin and adjacent tectonic units: implications for the tectonic scenario," to be implemented by the S.I. Subbotin Institute of Geophysics of the NAS of Ukraine (head academician of the NAS of Ukraine Vitaliy Starostenko) together with the Earth Sciences Institute of the SAS (head prof. Myroslav Bielik);
  • "Chemical and biological sciences" – the project "Development of biotechnological approaches for the use of new synthetic plant growth regulators to improve microclonal propagation in vitro culture and rooting of cuttings of flora species of Slovakia and Ukraine, which are potential producers of biologically active substances," to be implemented by the V.P. Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine, the Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine (head Doctor of Biological Sciences Viktoria Tsyhankova) together with the Forest Ecology Institute of the SAS (head Dr. Dominika Bošiaková);
  • "Social and humanitarian sciences" – the project "Systemic analysis of the effectiveness of the implementation of projects and programs of cross-border cooperation in the context of ensuring sustainable and inclusive development of the territories of the Ukrainian-Slovak border," to be implemented by the State Institution "M.I. Dolishniy Institute of Regional Research of the NAS of Ukraine" (head Doctor of Economics Khrystyna Prytula) together with the Geography Institute of the SAS (head Dr. Daniel Mikhnyak).

The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine congratulates the competition winners and thanks all participants for their submitted applications and the high scientific level of the presented projects.
