Esteemed women in science!
Traditionally, on February 11, Ukraine, along with the entire world, celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. I would like to emphasize the distinctiveness and uniqueness of Ukrainian women scientists who, under very difficult wartime conditions, do not abandon their beloved work but selflessly work, solve the most complex problems, advance science, and achieve high results.
We have always been proud that the proportion of women in science in Ukraine significantly exceeds the global average. Unfortunately, due to Russian armed aggression, some of our women scientists were forced to leave the walls of their native institutes and today work abroad, where they perform an equally important and responsible mission – representing our country and Ukrainian science in the international scientific community.
For centuries, women have contributed to the development of science and civilizational progress. Today, it is difficult to even imagine modern science without the work of our esteemed colleagues, who impress and inspire with their high competence, perseverance, and attention to the smallest details!
On the occasion of this international holiday, I want to once again express my deep respect and sincere gratitude for your fruitful work, responsibility in your work, determination, and perseverance in solving any scientific tasks. You create Ukrainian and world science, strengthen our state with your inventions and discoveries, and build its future!
From the bottom of my heart, I wish you, our esteemed and dear colleagues, good health, happiness, peace and prosperity, undying optimism, and inexhaustible inspiration! May the fire of creative search and thirst for new discoveries never fade in your hearts, and may your work in the scientific field always be fruitful and successful!
