On January 18, 2026, Sunday, at 3:00 PM, at the bookstore «Space Books» (Kyiv, Holosiivskyi Avenue, 89) there will be a presentation of the 2nd edition of the interdisciplinary dictionary «PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE AND CULTURE» edited by the leading researcher of the H.S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Ukraine, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Nazip Khamitov.
While specialized dictionaries pertain to a single science, and encyclopedic dictionaries combine many sciences and fields, interdisciplinary dictionaries combine two, at most three sciences. This allows the authors of such dictionaries to carry out a semantic synthesis in collaboration, which in a visible temporal perspective actualizes interdisciplinary research, leads to new theoretical achievements and practical results based on them. At the same time, interdisciplinary dictionaries not only promote interaction between sciences but can also be used in the educational process by students and graduate students; moreover, they popularize scientific achievements for a wider circle of readers – they are also popular science.
