On February 17 at 10:00 at the M.M. Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the NAS of Ukraine a joint Swedish-Ukrainian seminar dedicated to the memory of Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Oleksiy Hryhorovych Sytenko will take place.

During the seminar, there will be a ceremony awarding the diploma of Honorary Doctor of the institute to Professor Mats Larsson from Stockholm University, a foreign member of the NAS of Ukraine, who will be visiting Kyiv and will give an inaugural lecture titled "The 1972 superconductivity Nobel Prize; Bogolyubov vs BCS".
Scientific reports on the results of their research will also be presented by the institute director, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Serhiy Perepelytsia, and the head of the laboratory, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Mykola Iorgov. The event's topics cover a wide range of areas in modern theoretical physics, such as condensed matter physics, superconductivity, physics of biological macromolecules, biophysics, mathematical physics, and quantum field theory.
The event will also be streamed online via the Zoom platform.
