On February 16, 2026, the last of the information days for the RIFF (Research Infrastructure for Future) project, involving institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, will take place in Kyiv.
One of the main outcomes of the RIFF project will be the development of a "Roadmap for the restoration and improvement of research infrastructures in Ukraine." To this end, a series of information days, two of which have already taken place – in Lviv (27.10.2025) and Kharkiv (20.01.2026) – aims to raise awareness and facilitate the consultation process among a wide range of stakeholders from government bodies, politicians, and the scientific community. Other activities of the RIFF project ensure mobility and knowledge exchange between EU research infrastructures and the Ukrainian scientific community, including a training program for managers and operators of Ukrainian research infrastructures.
- Participants of the Information Day will be able to:
- familiarize themselves with the concept of research infrastructures (RI) as understood by the European Union;
- learn about the opportunities of the RIFF project for the development of Ukrainian RIs and their connection with relevant national or pan-European RIs;
- join the initiatives and subsequent activities of the project;
- establish contacts with representatives of the research infrastructure community of Ukraine and the EU.
Participation in this event will enable organizers of scientific activities, heads of scientific institutions, their departments, and all entities of research infrastructures to engage in the RIFF project activities, including participation in the formation of the roadmap and development plan for research infrastructures for the future of Ukraine.
