At the end of December 2024, the last book of the large-scale project "Ukraine. Essays on History" was published by the Publishing House "Akademperiodyka" of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Its implementation symbolizes the creation of the largest and most comprehensive modern domestic historical grand narrative to date, which accumulates the latest achievements of Ukrainian historiography in the aspects of conceptualizing the national historical process. The project "Ukraine. Essays on History" is aimed at the widest reading audience, and it is important that all its books are available in open access on the websites of the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Publishing House "Akademperiodyka." Chronologically, the last book of the project describes events up to 2019, and therefore the large-scale Russian invasion in February 2022 undoubtedly becomes a new milestone that will determine the further vectors of research in modern Ukrainian history.
