“…supporting science during the war is not a luxury or a gesture of goodwill. It is a strategic investment to ensure the country endures and has its own future,” believes the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician Anatoliy Zahorodniy. In an interview with the online publication “RBC-Ukraine”, he said:
- how the full-scale Russian invasion affected the research process and how the Academy’s scientists work during the war;
- how Ukrainian science is already useful to society today and how it responds to the needs and requests of the Defense Forces;
- why state support for science is important and indispensable;
- which foreign partners the NAS of Ukraine cooperates with;
- whether scientific developments are being commercialized and what hinders and promotes this;
- how the Academy is reorganizing and what it envisions for its future.
