The head of the Department of the History of Ukraine during the Second World War at the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Oleksandr Lysenko, in an interview with "Ukrinform" spoke about the historical associations of the current Russian-Ukrainian and Second World Wars.
For the eleventh year, Ukraine has been holding back the offensive of the army of a nuclear state that is twenty-five times larger in area and three and a half times greater in human resources. This war is the largest armed conflict in Europe since the Second World War.
