The competition for research works (R&D) of young scientists is held with the aim of identifying and providing targeted support to the best young scientists of the NAS of Ukraine who conduct scientific research in the scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine, including during their postgraduate studies at the relevant NAS of Ukraine institutions. The R&D works of young scientists can be individual or collective. Participants of collectives and authors of individual R&D works of young scientists can be persons who meet the definition of the term "young scientist" according to the Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity." The selection of R&D works of young scientists is carried out on a competitive basis. The competition is held once every two years.
