Interview with the Head of the Population Genetics Department, Doctor of Biological Sciences Yaroslav Pirko

In the modern world, food security is extremely important. Ukraine, as one of the leading global grain exporters, is actively implementing advanced methods of molecular genetics and biotechnology to ensure stable yields, increased crop resistance to climate change and pests. About new wheat genotypes being developed by scientists from the population genetics department of the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics of the NAS of Ukraine, using modern genetic analysis methods, the current state of research and prospects for their application in the agricultural sector, as well as international cooperation of the scientists of this institution, in an interview with academician of the NAS of Ukraine Volodymyr Seminozhenko on the program "About Science.
