She was born on May 19, 1962, in the town of Kopychyntsi, Husiatyn district, Ternopil region. From 1969-1979 she studied at the secondary school in Kopychynka № 1. In 1979 she entered the Faculty of Chemistry Kyiv State University, majoring in inorganic chemistry. From 1984 - 1987 she was a post-graduate student of the V. I. Vernadsky Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Since 1987 she worked as an engineer in the laboratory of electrophysical materials. In 1989 she defended her dissertation "Synthesis and properties of cation-conducting polyferrites and niobates containing alkali metals" on "inorganic chemistry". In October 1989 she was transferred to the position of researcher. His research interests included the study of cation-conducting niobates and ferrites, the development of methods for the synthesis of iron-containing oxide materials with a given particle shape to create new magnetic media.
