Description: | Calix[4]arenes, cyclic oligomers of phenols, have been synthesized, described and investigated.
It is shown that calix[4]arenes are able to selective inhibition of the activity of natrium and calcium pumps of plasma membrane, and also to influence on the systems of energy-dependent accumulation of Са ions in smooth muscle mitochondria. It is shown in the case of natrium pump, that its affinity to inhibitors - calix[4]arenes С-97, С-99 and С-107 is considerably higher, than that to classic inhibitors of this pump – uabain (known pharmacological substance).

The economic benefits: | The considerably less prime price of preparations (on the basis of calix[4]arenes) is expected, than those of using now (uabain - 55 €/100 mg www.tocris.com). The expected prime price of preparations on the basis of calix[4]arenes is 5-10 €/100 mg. |
