Description: | Technology of the low temperature deposition of nitride nanostruktural coatings onto the Al-based alloys surface is developed using the industrial-size commercial cathode vacuum arc plasma deposition machine of type „Bulat”. A new approach for modification of the arc-cathode and substrate surfaces by using an ion source for low energy ion bombardment is suggested. This approach will make it possible to deposit nanocoatings with good adhesion onto low-melting material. |
Technical advantages: | Technology allows to carry out deposition of nitride nanostructural coatings onto the Al-based alloys surface at the temperature of 80-100ºС in contrast to other coating deposition processes which are accompanied by essential heating and evaporation of the surface layers of the material. Сoatings are characterized high corrosion resistance and wearproofness, the values of which exceed analogical parameters at the use ion plating. |
