On February 25, 2026, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was visited with a friendly visit by the advisor to the president of the Polish Academy of Sciences on cooperation with Ukraine, foreign member of the NAS of Ukraine Professor Jerzy Duszyński, and the director of the Polish Academy of Sciences representation in Kyiv Mateusz Białas.
During an informal meeting with the president of the NAS of Ukraine, academician Anatoliy Zahorodniy, the discussion focused on the development of bilateral cooperation and the possibilities of further support for Ukrainian scientists from the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The parties also discussed the idea of launching a long-term program to support Ukrainian research teams – particularly in the field of studying psychological trauma caused by the war and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Professor Jerzy Duszyński informed about the preparations for the General Assembly of the All-European Federation of Academies of Sciences (ALLEA), which will take place in May this year in Warsaw, as well as about the thematic round table "Supporting the Ukrainian Research Ecosystem through International Exchange and Cooperation" with the participation of the NAS of Ukraine and the Polish Academy of Sciences.
