Green investments of the future: charitable tree planting at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of the company "Yenamin"

06.04.2026

On March 28, 2026, a charitable tree planting took place at the "Carpathians" botanical-geographical section of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden (NBG) of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the participation of the "Enamin" company team.

The event was not only an important environmental initiative but also another example of successful cooperation between a scientific institution and socially responsible business.

At the opening of the event, welcoming speeches were given by the Deputy Director for Scientific Work (Innovative Development) of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine Djamal Rakhmetov, and the Director of LLC NVP "Enamin" Volodymyr Yarmolchuk.

During the event, about 60 beech trees (Fagus sylvatica) were planted, which is one of the main and most valuable tree species of the Ukrainian Carpathians. This is a significant contribution to the restoration of the beech belt at the "Carpathians" botanical-geographical section of the NBG.

Such events are important for the development of the Academic Botanical Garden and are a key means of supporting and expanding collections, modernizing infrastructure, and implementing new scientific and educational projects. Charitable plantings not only contribute to the preservation and enrichment of the garden's plant diversity but also foster a culture of responsible environmental attitude among business representatives and the public.

Representatives of the Directorate of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine consistently work on finding innovative approaches to solve current tasks aimed at the development of the Garden. The participation of the "Enamin" company in this innovative-charitable event is a good example and contribution to the preservation and development of Kyiv’s green gem.

Words of gratitude to the participants of the event were expressed by the Deputy Director of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine Djamal Rakhmetov, Scientific Secretary Oleksandr Bondarchuk, and curator of the "Carpathians" section Oleksandr Baransky.
