On September 24–25, 2026, the 8th International Conference NUCNEXT-2026: "Prospects for the Implementation of Innovations in Nuclear Energy" will be held in the Large Conference Hall of the NAS of Ukraine (55 Volodymyrska St., Kyiv).
The purpose of the event is to engage specialists, researchers, representatives of institutions, enterprises, and the public in a professional discussion about the current state, challenges, and prospects for the development of nuclear energy in Ukraine, the implementation of innovative solutions and the latest technologies.

Main thematic focuses of the conference:
- trends in the development of reactor technologies, innovative nuclear technologies, and prospects for their implementation;
- developments in the field of enhancing the safety and physical protection of NPPs, threats and challenges to the nuclear industry in wartime conditions;
- extension of the operational life of existing and construction of new NPPs;
- innovations in the management of spent nuclear fuel, radioactive waste, and radioecology.

Following the conference, an electronic collection of abstracts will be published. Authors wishing to publish abstracts must send materials by October 7, 2026 to the email address: science@ukrns.org, following the formatting rules and sample.
