The 10th International Samsonov Conference on Refractory Compounds (MSRC-2026) took place

29.05.2026

From May 25 to 28, 2026, a large-scale scientific event took place – the 10th International Samsonov Conference on Refractory Compounds (MSRC-2026).

The anniversary event brought together leading materials scientists in the field of refractory compounds at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute." Thanks to the hybrid format, foreign scientists were able to fully participate in discussions online.

The organizers of the event were: the Ukrainian Materials Science Society named after I. M. Frantsevich, the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute," and the I. M. Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the NAS of Ukraine.

The conference featured 7 keynote lectures from industry leaders, 30 oral presentations,

and 70 poster presentations.

Young scientists demonstrated an exceptionally high level of preparation and bold views on the future of materials engineering. The best youth presentations will be recognized with special awards and prizes!

This year, researchers focused on the most relevant trends in materials science, including the fundamental principles of refractory compounds materials science, low-dimensional materials and nanotechnologies, ceramics and composites, refractory metals and innovative alloys, films and coatings.

The organizers and participants of the conference are grateful for the support of partners and sponsors: LEM Ukraine, Stasenko&Partners, NETZSCH, Nabertherm.

MSRC-2026 became a powerful platform for exchanging ideas, generating new international collaborations, and designing the materials of the future.
