July 2, 2026 – another very difficult night for Kyiv and Ukraine.
Russia, traditionally violating all possible rules of war, international conventions, and universal morality, continues to terrorize Ukraine, killing civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure. Scientific infrastructure – among others.
Once again, institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine were hit. Roofs, cars, research laboratories, and scientific equipment were burning, windows shattered. Fortunately, there are no casualties or injured. We document the damage and deeply bow to the Defense Forces of Ukraine for managing to avoid a worse scenario.
Whatever it be, we will endure. Dawn always comes.
