On September 9–10, 2026, within the framework of the Joint Activity Program of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine for 2026–2028, the Third International Scientific Conference "Plant Stress and Adaptation" will take place. Employees of scientific institutions and higher education institutions researching plant resilience issues are invited to participate.
The organizers of the event are the V.Ya. Yuriev Institute of Plant Production of NAAS of Ukraine and the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics of NAS of Ukraine.
At this year's conference, alongside the traditional physiological-biochemical and molecular-genetic aspects of plant stress and adaptation, emphasis will also be placed on new research technologies, particularly the use of omics and digital technologies and artificial intelligence in this field.
Main directions of the conference:
- plant responses to abiotic and biotic stressors: physiology, biochemistry, molecular mechanisms;
- omics technologies in the study of plant stress responses;
- digital technologies and artificial intelligence in experimental plant biology;
- genetics, breeding, and biotechnological approaches to improving plant resilience;
- ecological and population aspects of plant adaptation.

Following the event, a special issue of "The Open Agriculture Journal" (TOAJ; indexed in the scientometric database "Scopus") dedicated to the mechanisms of adaptation of agricultural plants is planned to be published.
