President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Ukrainian scientists and awarded them state honors and honorary titles on the occasion of Science Day in Ukraine. Among the awardees are scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the Head of State thanked the scientists for their work and emphasized the importance of developing science and technology for the security of the state, protection of people, and strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability.
The participants discussed the development of modern air defense and anti-ballistic systems, new technologies in the space sector, support for socially important scientific projects, as well as issues of science funding.
The President was also presented with developments by Ukrainian scientists in the fields of defense and medicine, including unmanned systems, robotic complexes, electronic warfare tools, and the latest medical technologies.
