First steps to participate in the Horizon Europe program: invitation to a training seminar

On April 30, 2026, a one-day training seminar "First Steps to Participation in the Horizon Europe Program: from Registration to Project Idea Development" will be held in the Large Conference Hall of the NAS of Ukraine.

The event is aimed at raising awareness among researchers about the opportunities of the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe, as well as acquiring practical skills for preparing to participate in competitions. It is expected to contribute to more active involvement of scientific institutions, organizations, and small and medium-sized enterprises in EU programs.

The seminar is primarily targeted at representatives of institutions and organizations that have no experience participating in European research and innovation projects.

The event program includes:

  • structure and tools of the Horizon Europe program;
  • registration of participants on the European Commission portal and obtaining a PIC;
  • working with the portal, submitting applications;
  • procedure for finding current calls;
  • analysis of competition documentation;
  • basics of project proposal preparation (Excellence, Impact, Implementation);
  • approaches to forming consortia and project budgets.

Special attention will be given to practical work: participants will be able to go through the registration procedure, work on current calls, and develop a preliminary concept of their own project.

Researchers, lecturers, graduate students, as well as representatives of organizations interested in international scientific research and innovation cooperation are invited to participate.
