In order to support scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and within the framework of the Action Plan for Science in Ukraine, presented in July 2025, UNESCO is implementing the initiative for remote access to laboratory equipment UNESCO’s UNESRALE Initiative (UNESCO Remote Access to Laboratory Equipment).
The goal of the program is to provide the opportunity to use advanced scientific equipment (such as high-performance computing HPC equipment, microscopes, X-ray diffractometers, etc.) and research infrastructure of international laboratories, which allows continuing research and developing international cooperation under conditions of war and limited access to infrastructure in Ukraine. The program also includes training on conducting experiments using remote access to equipment and supporting the professional development of researchers in various fields of science.
In order to identify the needs of Ukrainian scientists for access to advanced research equipment and infrastructure and to adapt the tools of the UNESCO’s UNESRALE program to the needs of domestic science, UNESCO is conducting a survey of scientists and researchers.
The survey invites:
- Master’s students, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates;
- Scientific staff and researchers.
Your participation in the survey will help:
- create new access opportunities for Ukrainian scientists to international research infrastructure;
- expand the participation of Ukrainian scientists in the UNESCO’s UNESRALE initiative;
- gain the opportunity to remotely use modern laboratory equipment for conducting individual and joint scientific research.
