The National Research Foundation of Ukraine together with the Research Council of Norway (RCN, Norges forskningsråd) announce the competition "Joint Research Project on Mental Health in Ukraine during the War and Post-War Period".
The purpose of the competition is to fund Ukrainian-Norwegian joint research projects aimed at improving the mental health of Ukrainians experiencing psychological stress due to the war. The projects are expected to develop, implement, and scientifically evaluate effective, contextually relevant, and scientifically grounded measures adapted to the needs of different population groups.
The war in Ukraine creates unprecedented challenges for the mental health system and society as a whole, requiring strengthening and expanding scientifically based solutions that are accessible and scalable in real conditions. A specific task of the competition is to lay the foundations for long-term scientific research cooperation between Ukrainian and Norwegian scientists.
Main conditions of the competition
- Project duration: 24-36 months
- Funding per project: 2-6 million Norwegian kroner
- Total competition budget: 30 million Norwegian kroner
