The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has completed the competitive selection of Ukrainian scientific professional publications for financial support for 2026-2027. As a result, a number of journals founded by institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine were included in the list of winners and will receive state support.
Among them:
- "Functional Materials" (STC "Institute of Monocrystals")
- "Geophysical Journal" (S. I. Subbotin Institute of Geophysics)
- "Physics of Condensed Systems" (I. R. Yukhnovsky Institute of Physics of Condensed Systems)
- "Chemistry, Physics and Technology of Surfaces" (O. O. Chuiko Institute of Surface Chemistry)
- "Nuclear Physics and Energy" (Institute for Nuclear Research)
- "Problems of Atomic Science and Technology" (National Scientific Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology")
- "Journal of Mathematical Physics, Analysis, Geometry" (B. I. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering)
During the evaluation, the competition commission took into account, among other things, the level of the publication's impact (quartile, percentile); adherence to principles of academic integrity; editorial and publication ethics; presence in DOAJ; possibility of free publication for Ukrainian scientists.
The winning publications will receive financial support for two years in the amount of 350 thousand UAH annually. The funds will be directed towards the development of open access, improvement of editorial and publishing processes, translation and editing of English-language materials, technical support, software, as well as the professional development of editors and reviewers.
