Scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine presented their developments at the exhibition for Science Day

On May 14-15, 2026, in Kyiv, an exhibition-presentation of research and developments of the NAS of Ukraine institutions dedicated to Science Day in Ukraine took place.

The event united 70 scientific institutions of the Academy, which presented about 500 fundamental and applied developments in the fields of energy, defense, materials science, nanotechnology, information technology, medicine, biotechnology, ecology, mineral extraction, as well as solutions related to economic recovery, human capital, and information security.

Among the presented developments were the software system for collective modeling "Consensus-2," an information system for screening diagnostics based on medical questionnaires using artificial intelligence algorithms, as well as the hardware-software complex "Smart Rehabilitologist" for diagnosing and personalized restoration of motor activity of injured and wounded persons.

The exhibition also demonstrated scientific and technical solutions for auxiliary rocket engines, heating elements for industrial dryers based on amorphous ribbon materials, thermoelectric cooling modules for industrial, transport, and medical purposes, as well as a 1 kW electric generator that automatically connects in parallel with solar panels under low solar radiation conditions.

A separate section of the exposition was dedicated to new materials and protection technologies. In particular, the latest vacuum-arc coatings and steel nitriding technologies were presented to increase wear resistance and corrosion resistance of metal products, as well as robotics for nuclear energy.

In the field of medicine and biotechnology, a new highly active biocompatible polymer gel material with complex proteolytic and antimicrobial action was demonstrated, promising for wound treatment under martial law conditions and disaster medicine. Also presented was the technology of cryogenic molecular fractionation for the production of highly vitaminized dietary supplements using methods of cryosublimation fractionation, cryoseparation, and extraction of lipid fractions with liquefied gases.

Significant attention at the exhibition was given to environmental issues and food security. Visitors were shown research results on the consequences of military actions on the quality of atmospheric air in Ukraine, including analysis of pollution changes due to ecosystem fires, missile, and drone strikes. Studies of the scale and risks of cyanobacterial "blooming" of water in reservoirs and a system of molecular markers for the selection of agricultural crops were also presented, enabling the identification of valuable plant alleles and determining their resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses.

In addition to scientific and technical developments, the exhibition displayed book editions, dictionaries, encyclopedias, monographs, and collections of scientific works. Intellectual platforms for automatic collection and verification of operational indicators of corporate structures with risk detection were also presented. A mineral exhibition, which included about 200 exhibits reflecting the history of the mineral kingdom, attracted special attention from visitors.

The exhibition-presentation was attended by representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, military personnel, and other invited guests.
