Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine will be included in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education

01.05.2026

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 536 dated April 29, 2026, which introduced amendments to the Regulation on the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE). The updates directly concern scientific institutions and employees of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

From now on, information about scientific institutions that have passed state attestation, as well as about scientists with academic degrees working in these institutions as their primary place of employment, will be entered into the USEDE. This also applies to employees of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine and its apparatus, as well as the presidiums of national sectoral academies of sciences.

The changes are introduced for the period of martial law and aim to organize data about the scientific field and ensure their use in state information systems. In particular, this will enable electronic interaction with other state registers, including the register of conscripts, those liable for military service, and reservists, and will significantly simplify information verification without additional paper procedures.

It is envisaged that data about scientists will be entered by the institutions themselves, and information about employees of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine and sectoral academies will be entered by the respective academies. Information about the state attestation of scientific institutions will be entered into the database by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which is also required to ensure the technical implementation of these changes within a month.
