On April 28, 2026, a nationwide scientific-practical conference titled “Legislative Activity and the Eurointegration Direction of Ukraine’s Legislative Development” was held at the Institute of Legislation and Scientific-Legal Expertise of the NAS of Ukraine.
The event was opened by the director of the Institute of Legislation and Scientific-Legal Expertise of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Law Oleksiy Kot.
The chairman of the Scientific Coordination Council on Legislative Activity under the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, academician of the NAS of Ukraine Sergiy Pyrozhkov, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized the significant role of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the development of legislative activity, the formation of modern legal doctrine, and the conduction of legal expertise of draft laws, particularly regarding their compliance with Ukraine’s obligations in the field of European integration and European Union law.
Welcoming remarks were also made by the deputy chairperson of the Scientific Advisory Council under the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Doctor of Law Natalia Kuznetsova. She stressed that science is an important tool for social development, and one of the key tasks of the scientific community is to bring the legislative system closer to the priority directions of state development, including ensuring national security, European integration, post-war recovery, and the formation of modern social legislation.
