National contact points of the Horizon Europe program will conduct a training on participation in ERC competitions

On June 3, 2026, the National Contact Points of the "Horizon Europe" program will hold a specialized training "Successful Participation in ERC Competitions of the 'Horizon Europe' Program".

Researchers and project managers planning to apply for grant competitions of the European Research Council (ERC) – one of the key areas of the EU Framework Program "Horizon Europe" – are invited to participate.

During the training, participants will consider practical aspects of preparing an application for participation in the ERC Advanced Grant competition announced on May 29, 2026. In particular, the following will be discussed:

  • features of preparing a competitive application;
  • rules for effective project budgeting;
  • preparation of the CV and Track Record of the principal investigator – project leader;
  • preparation for the interview at the second evaluation stage;
  • rules for evaluating applications by experts.

Speakers and organizers of the event:

  • Karina Shakhbazyan – head of the National Contact Point for the ERC direction, scientific secretary of the Center for Intellectual Property Research and Technology Transfer of the NAS of Ukraine;
  • Tetyana Popova – head of the National Contact Point for the ERC direction, head of the project coordination department at Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas;
  • Anton Nanavov – deputy head of the research department of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv for international grant work.
