International Scientific Conference "Current Issues of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering – 2026" (ANNOUNCEMENT)

On May 26-28, 2026, at the G.S. Pysarenko Institute of Strength Problems of the NAS of Ukraine, an International Scientific Conference “Current Problems of Mechanics and Machine Science – 2026” will be held.

The main organizer of the event is the G.S. Pysarenko Institute of Strength Problems of the NAS of Ukraine. The co-organizers of the conference are the National Committee of Ukraine on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and leading scientific institutions of Ukraine in the field of mechanics.

Conference sections:

1. Experimental and computational methods for studying the strength of materials and structures

   (G.S. Pysarenko Institute of Strength Problems of the NAS of Ukraine).

2. Mechanics of deformable solid bodies and structures: composites, shells, long-term deformation, failure, stability, and interaction of physico-mechanical fields

   (S.P. Timoshenko Institute of Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine).

3. Current problems of geotechnical and mining mechanics

   (M.S. Polyakov Institute of Geotechnical Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine; Department of Physics of Mining Processes of the M.S. Polyakov Institute of Geotechnical Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine).

4. Hydrothermodynamics of turbulent flows

   (Institute of Hydromechanics of the NAS of Ukraine).

5. Mechanics of rocket and space technology objects and other special-purpose systems

   (Institute of Technical Mechanics of the NAS of Ukraine and the State Space Agency of Ukraine).

6. Fundamental and applied research of innovative transport and energy systems and technologies

7. Mathematical models and methods of mechanics of heterogeneous structures

8. Strength of materials and structural elements of nuclear power plant equipment

   (Ukrainian Nuclear Society; State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety; JSC “NAEK Energoatom”).

Participation in the conference is provided in both in-person and online formats.

Working languages of the conference – Ukrainian and English.

Participation in the conference: no fees are required.

Based on the results of the conference, a collection of abstracts and a collection of full texts of conference reports are planned to be published.
