On April 6, 2026, Kyiv Academic University (KAU) invites you to discuss how to turn materials science into a business strategy.

Event guests:

Marina Storozhenko – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of International Relations and Technology Transfer, Leading Researcher of the Surface Engineering and Protective Coatings Department at the I.M. Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of the NAS of Ukraine. Head of Information Support for the Ukrainian Materials Science Society named after I.M. Frantsevich. Lecturer at Kyiv Academic University.

Hryhoriy Monastyrskyi – PhD in Physics, Head of the Vacuum Equipment and Electron Microscopy Department at LLC "MATERIALS LAB," Junior Researcher at the Institute of Physics of the NAS of Ukraine.

What will they talk about?

  • Material "Tinder": Why do Ukrainian scientists and businesses so rarely find common ground?
  • Myth detector: Is it true that science is too slow for business, and business is too primitive for science?
  • Battle for results: Who should adapt – the scientist who needs a "process," or the entrepreneur who needs a "KPI for yesterday"?
  • Backstage of the profession: Why is materials science the hottest niche for innovation in 2026, which applicants find out about too late?
