Kyiv Academic University (KAU) invites you to participate in the Academ.City Open Innovation Program "Science-Business".
The target group of the program: scientists, representatives of business, government authorities and local self-government, civil society, international organizations, and all those interested in building an innovation ecosystem.
About the program
The Academ.City Open Innovation Program "Science-Business" is an initiative of Kyiv Academic University and the Academ.City Science Park aimed at building an open innovation ecosystem by establishing direct connections between scientific institutions of the NAS of Ukraine, developers of innovative solutions, and business entities in the Kyiv region. The program creates a systematic mechanism for direct interaction between academic science and the real economic sector. Enterprises gain access to scientific competencies and research infrastructure, while scientists engage in solving applied technological challenges and offer their developments for implementation.
Strategic goal – to form a sustainable innovation ecosystem where science becomes a driver of competitiveness, and business gains access to advanced technologies.
6 stages of the program:
Mapping innovation demand → Systematic identification of technological challenges of enterprises and formation of cases for solution development.
Mobilization of scientific potential → Searching for research teams to develop solutions for the formed innovation request.
Formation of problem-oriented groups → Creating problem-oriented partnership groups for developing technological solutions.
Joint solution development (R&D) → Intensive phase of joint work between scientists and business on creating applied technological solutions, prototypes, and pilot samples. Mentoring support from KAU and Academ.City.
Pitch day and partnership agreements → Public presentation of joint work results and formalization of partnerships: signing agreements on scientific and technical cooperation, licensing agreements, and agreeing on implementation roadmaps.
Scaling and comprehensive support → Dissemination of program results and formation of prerequisites for scaling the innovation cooperation model. Comprehensive support for project teams at the commercialization and integration stage of technological solutions into production processes.
Program duration - 3 months.
Format – hybrid: online + offline meetings and innovation scouting.
