
On March 17, 2026, the Vice President of the NAS of Ukraine, Head of the Section of Chemical and Biological Sciences of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Volodymyr Radchenko, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Petro Stryzhak, and Head of the Sector of Chemical and Biological Sciences of the Scientific and Organizational Department of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, Candidate of Biological Sciences Yevheniy Rutyan, paid a working visit to the L.M. Lytvynenko Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine.
During the visit, the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr Bessarabov, presented the key areas of current fundamental and applied research, outlined the main development priorities and current challenges faced by the Institute, as well as strategies to overcome them. He noted that systematic work is currently underway to increase the efficiency of the Institute's activities and actively involve young scientists in the institution. The departments of the L.M. Lytvynenko Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine have already been supplemented with young specialists, and the Council of Young Scientists has started working.
The Head of the Spectrochemical Research Department, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Andriy Redko, acquainted the guests with the material and technical base of the scientific laboratories and spoke about the research carried out using the Institute's equipment.
Following the meeting, the Academy leaders emphasized the importance of further development of fundamental and applied research conducted at the L.M. Lytvynenko Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, and stressed the advisability of improving its material and technical support and the necessity of expanding interdisciplinary cooperation.
