On June 2-3, 2026, the 11th International Conference "Recent Advances in Plant Biotechnology" (RAPB 2026) will be held in Kyiv.
The event organizer is the Institute of Cell Biology and Genetic Engineering of the NAS of Ukraine. The conference is supported by the International Society of Plant Molecular Farming (International Society of Plant Molecular Farming) and Recrop Cost Action.
The event format is hybrid (in-person/remote).
The working language is English.
Conference topics:
- Molecular farming of pharmaceutical proteins.
- Genetic engineering of plants to increase crop yield and quality.
- Biotechnology of plant secondary metabolism and biodiversity.
- Satellite workshop — "Biotechnology for studying stress and adaptation mechanisms in plants" (organized within the RECROP COST Action).
Participation of more than 10 key speakers from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, the USA, Canada, and other countries has been confirmed.
Their presentations will cover, among other things, the use of plants as a biotechnological platform for producing new food products and feeds; the use of artificial intelligence in plant biotechnology; the application of genetic engineering and genome editing technologies to enhance resistance and improve the nutritional value of various agricultural crops; targeted modification of secondary metabolism, and more.
Students of biological specialties from Ukrainian higher education institutions have the opportunity to participate free of charge (as listeners, without publishing abstracts).
More detailed information regarding participation conditions, speakers, topics of presentations, as well as further updates, is available on the conference website.
Questions should be addressed to the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Senior Researcher, Candidate of Biological Sciences Katerina Listvan (rapb2023@gmail.com).
