In the cold and under fire: science in Ukraine continues to work – interview with Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine Andriy Semenov for Italian media

The head of the Quantum Optics and Quantum Information Group at the M.M. Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine Andriy Semenov, gave an interview to the Italian media "IL BO Live" of the University of Padua.

During the conversation, he spoke about the working conditions of Ukrainian scientists during the full-scale war: power outages and heating interruptions, infrastructure damage, difficulties in conducting calculations and research. At the same time, the scientist emphasized that despite these challenges, scientific teams continue to work, teach students, and develop international cooperation. The interview also discusses the state and reform of the Ukrainian scientific system, the role of international support, and the prospects for the development of science in Ukraine during the war.
