Inna Konstantinovna Pashkevich was born on January 30, 1934 in the city of Rostov-on-Don. Graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Artem Mining Institute, specializing in mining engineer-geophysicist. Seven years she worked as field interpreter-geophysicist in geophysical parties of the Far Eastern geological department, in Dnipropetrovsk geophysical expedition and trust "Krivbasgeology".
In 1964, she entered the post-graduate course of the Institute of Geophysics of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, where she worked as a junior researcher, senior engineer, research assistant, head of the laboratory of the anomalous magnetic field at the Department of the Earth's permanent magnetic field, leading researcher of the Department of geomagnetism. In 2003, she retired and continues to work as a leading scientific associate on a contract basis.
In 1971, she defended her Ph.D. thesis entitled "The geomagnetic field of the Ukrainian SSR and some issues of its connection with tectonics and deep structure of the Earth's crust".
The main direction of her research is the study of the deep structure of the Earth's crust, the construction of two- and three-dimensional magnetic models of the lithosphere, the creation of petromagnetic and comprehensive evolutionary and geological and geophysical models in order to assess the prospects of areas for certain types of minerals, as well as cartography studies to create non-uniformly scale maps of anomalous and normal magnetic field, schemes of deep structure and
fault-block tectonics of the Erth’crust.
І.К.Pashkevich is the author and editor of the maps of the anomalous magnetic field of Ukraine at the scale of 1: 1,000,000, the eastern part of the Ukrainian Shield at the scale of 1: 200,000 and the Ukrainian Shield at the scale of 1: 500,000, the Carpathian region at a scale of 1: 1,500,000, Eastern Europe and Maps of the whole Europe, as well as schemes of the deep structure of the lithosphere of the south-west of the East European Platform at a scale of 1: 1,000,000 and a number of others. Over the years I.K. Pashkevich collaborated with researchers from Russia, Sweden, Belarus, Lithuania, Romania, Germany, the United States and other countries.
Until 2018, she was the head of the state budget and economic contracts, the responsible executor of the target projects of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and of international programs including "EUROPROBE", "EUROBRIDGE", "DOBRE". I.K.Pashkevich participated in numerous international geological and geophysical congresses, assemblies, Conferences, Working Meetings and Sessions.
I.K.Pashkevich is the co-author of a number of published sheets of the State Geological Map of Ukraine with a scale of 1: 200,000. She was (from 1980 to 1991) the head of the working group "Magnetic anomalies of continents" in the Scientific Council on Geomagnetism under the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences, member of the geophysical section of the editorial board at VSEGEI (now A.P. Karpinsky Russian Geological Research Institute).
The results of many years of her research are presented in more than 200 articles published in domestic and foreign journals and in 15 monographs (in co-authorship).
I.K.Pashkevich awarded with honorary diplomas of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine; in 1995 she was awarded the title of Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine as part of the team of authors of the 8-volume monograph "The Lithosphere of Central and Eastern Europe"; she was also awarded the Silver Sign of the Union of Geologists of Ukraine (2001).
