Title: | Nanostructured Complex Oxides Based on Zirconia for Multipurpose Catalysts |
Type of product: | Release of new product: materialHydrothermal Synthesis Method of Nanostructures Based on Zirconia with Specified Modification |
Description: | Complex oxides based on zirconium oxide and cerium oxide doped with transition metal oxides (SnO2, CuO, NiO, FeO, CoO, MnO2) for multipurpose catalysts of neutralization of industrial gases. |
Technical advantages: | Designed hydrothermal synthesis method of nanostructures based on zirconia with specified modification (tetragonal or monoclinic), compared to known ones, provides a significant reduction in both specific energy consumption and reagents (1.5 times), high specific surface area of the synthesized samples 90-92 (t) and 38-40 (m) m2/g, and preclude the necessity to use oxides of rare-earth elements as stabilizers. The synthesized compounds can be used for making electrode and electrolyte materials of fuel cell, as well as for luminescent and optical materials, three-way catalysts. The degree of conversion of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide with cubic CeO2-ZrO2-SnO as catalytic converter reaches 96% at 450 C, and nitrogen monoxide with CeO2-ZrO2-SuO reaches 99% of the theoretical value. |
