4. Nanomaterials
Purpose:Explore effect of complex reinforcement of nano structural constituents and high-modulus disperse fillers on structure, physical, mechanical and tribological properties of aluminum based composite materials. Develop a methodological and technological bases of obtaining new hybrid nanocomposites with enhanced tribo-performance.
Expected results:Release of new product: technology
Stage 1:Thermodynamic calculations and compatibility analysis of aluminum matrix composition, alloying components, fillers and nanostructured constituents. Determination of critical temperature parameters for casting regimes of nanocomposites. Development of physical and chemical principles for production of nanoscale carbon oxides and carbides powders.
Stage 2:Technological production modes testing and improvement of nanoscale fillers, their separation and involving into metal matrix. Development of operate modes of hybrid nanocomposites casting from aluminum alloy by ligature method
Stage 3:Choosing of technological scheme for nanocomposites production by impregnation method. Production of nanoscale powders of Zr, Mo and W carbides.
Stage 4:Effect exploring of nanoscale constituents at structure, physical, mechanical and tribological properties of developed nanocomposites
