I, Volodymyr V. Kulyk, was born on January 10, 1944 at the village of Fediukivka of the Kyiv region (now Cherkasy region). In 1961 I graduated from general educational sec-ondary school with honors (silver medal) and entered to the Faculty of Physics of the Taras Shevchenko National Uni-versity of Kyiv
In 1966 I graduated from the University in the specialty "Physics" and obtained the qualification "Physicist, Theo-retical Nuclear Physics". I was direct to work at the Institute of Geophysics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.
From 1969 to 1972 I studied at the full-time post-graduate course of the Institute of Geophysics.
In 1977 I defended my Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Modera-tion of stationary source neutrons in limited on size and composite mediums (in the aspect of problems of neutron methods of nuclear geophysics)"
Since 2001 – scientific supervisor of a number of funda-mental and applied departmental themes. In 2005 – 2017 I was the scientific supervisor of 9 scientific-technical projects of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
I have published about 150 scientific works, including more than 40 patents for inventions and utility models. In 2006 I was awarded the title of Inventor of the Year of the NAS of Ukraine.
Married, I have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildrens.
